You will also find an infinite number of bars, pubs, fish and chip shops, ice cream vendors and more offering delicious seaside fayre on the picturesque harbour. Padstow is also one end of the Camel Trail, an 18-mile traffic free cycle trail which runs from Padstow to Wadebridge and then on to Bodmin. For some amazing footage of this area we recommend watching Countryfile!
At low tide a short walk will take you to Chidley Pumps where you can walk the full length of the shoreline to Tregirls Beach, which is a long estuary beach with golden sand which is perfect for small children. Tregirls Beach also has a field car park, with a 5–10-minute walk down a hill to the beach.
From Padstow take one of the many boat trips including the high-thrill speed boat rides, the scenic wildlife tour aboard the Jubilee Queen or charter a fishing trip with one of the local boats and catch mackerel for your BBQ.
