After you have booked and paid the 30% deposit, your holidays is secured against the requested dates at the property. Should you become unable to attend your holiday please inform us by telephone and in writing. We can produce a letter for your insurance if required. If you do not attend the property at all your damage deposit will be refunded. Please note the 30% deposit is non-refundable. If you change your mind about the booking one this has been paid, we cannot provide refunds. Once the booking has been confirmed and deposit taken you are liable for the full cost of the holiday.

Should a government directive say relating to Covid-19 interfere with the dates of your holiday we will do out best to offer you alternative dates, or in this case a refund.

All of our properties are owned by a different person, meaning this generally is not possible. We can request this, but it cannot be guaranteed.

Yes sure, this isn’t a problem. We can split the payments through the booking system and invoice you separately for a BACS or card payment through Opayo. Please note, the security deposit must come from one guest as it is held against one card.

Guests can arrive at the property from 4pm on the day of the start of the holiday and check out is by 10am. You may request an earlier check in or later check out, we try to work with you as much as possible. Unfortunately if another party have left the property on the same day, we won’t be able to accommodate a change in times as we need this time to prepare the property for the next guests.

Once your balance I paid you’ll be given access to all the arrival and property access information in your guest portal. All properties have a secure key safe and code which you will be provided with. Certain properties may have meet and greets, or a member of the team visit you on the afternoon or morning after your arrival, you’ll be contacted by the team ahead of this to arrange a suitable time. If you have any queries we of course are at the end of the phone.

Internally all the properties are strictly non-smoking. Please smoke outside and dispose of cigarette butts appropriately. There will be a charge if the housekeeping team have to clean any cigarette waste.

Each deposit is property specific; this is a set amount held against an agreed card and preauthorised in the week before your stay for the value of the security deposit. The money serves as an assurance that if cost of putting any damage right should it occur can be covered. Once you have left the property a full check will be carried out to make sure there is no damage, breakages or cleaning over and above set amount. Should all be in order you will be refunded. Please note: the damage deposit is not the extent of your liability should more damage be done. The payment held against your card will be released within 7 to 10 days after your stay.

Cornwall is a very busy location; we will endeavour to inform you ahead of your stay of any building works ongoing nearby. This is out of our control and we are unable to offer any compensation.

If you have already stayed with Shore Stays, you will be sent an email offering the opportunity to rebook after your holiday and the damage deposit has been refunded. Once the letting dates for the following year have been cleared there will be an opportunity to rebook then if you have previously confirmed your interest.

All our properties receive an exclusive hamper with the basics on arrival plus some homemade delicious Cornish treats!

All properties have WiFi, dishwashers, TV’s kitchen appliances. Please see each individual page for more information.

We can arrange for highchairs and cots for babies.

If you are staying at a property that accepts dogs, please bring your own dog bedding.
